What Were the Most Aggressive Cichlids You've Kept Together...

[Red Devil]

Tried my red terror with everything, he is totally sick. After separating him from other cichlids. Tried him in my big boy tank. He constantly harressed, a pacu 4 times his size, bite the fins on a large redtail cat, chased a 18" albino channel cat around. Here's his pic. He's now in solitary confinement!

I quess that is the only place for him to be.. my red devil is taking the same path soon..he also is going after the platter size pacu's.. they are huge but are the most passive easy going fish i own.. it is hard to believe they have all those teeth, eat like theres no tommorrow..veggies and protein doesn't matter, oh and fruit.. a grape is gone in seconds and they let this red devil rule their life.. he will be out tommorrow..

my previous setups:
female jag + red devil + JD=she owned them, they would constantly fight for 2nd place. she kept the peace & owned the whole tank. they lived at opposite ends.

same red devil + JD (just the 2 of them)=red devil owned the JD.

midas+red devil+trimac=trimac owned the whole tank overnight.

trimac+festae=trimac owned the festae, even a female trimac owned the male festae.

trimac vs mirror=craziness, he fought the mirror every minute of everyday. trimacs are just nuts!!!

breeding pair of convicts + pair of devils=cons owned the devils, devils couldn't even get close, lightning fast attacks by cons.

pair of cons + female festae=dead cons, she never allowed them to breed. tried more than once, she would just SHRED the female con every time.

jag vs salvini=lunch

in all fairness festae do not snap until 7-8inches, then all bets are off.

im my tank right now i have a 2 inch synspilum who rules the tank lol he even tries to take on the red devil, which dosnt work but the devil dosnt really try to fight

I just found out how fiesty they can be. A while back I had two juvi's together, one murdered the other over night. He was then living with a larger f1 firemouth that bullied him until this morning, when I found the firemouth dead and destroyed

I don't like having cichlids die, but somehow the bluntness of this part of your post just strikes a funny bone with me
