what were your first thoughts when you discovered MFK?

yep.. i know what ya mean..i saw my first peacock bass at an LFS down the street and started researching online and found Dmack's videos and i was hooked.. then i tried to find a way to contact Dmack for more info and found this.. at first i said "oh no.. i don't like message boards.." And then my hubby told me about MFK and i said "ok.. i need to learn more."

here i am.. hook, line and sinker.. and here i'll stay. there is no better bunch of "fish nerds" and no better place to go to learn more.
 
I just couldn't believe some of the setups and info that was available on here. It's a true eye opener on what is possible :)

I dont remember exactly how I came to find out about mfk, other than remembering I was doing some research about frontosa and one of the links I came across brought me to aquaria central. I needed to create a chat room name to use the chat so I did.

As I was navigating around ac I found the link up top where you can go from mfk etc..., so i went an registered here.

My thoughts were somewhat along these lines whooooo boy these dudes are intense, sweeeeet I think I have found a group where I wont be seen as a freak or liar if I share what I am thinkin to do. After all before I came to mfk or ac I happened to find the vid on youtube about the 50k g tank in ontario.

I will not mention other sites that I used to post threads on, but, I really got tired of people thinking that their small minded visions for what can be done in this hobby or any of the pet areas gave them permission to pooooop on anothers ideas, and I really did not see much if any of that happening here on mfk

Thank God for the age of digital cameras cause one can post pics of what they say they are doing, along the same lines it is so great to have a place like this to post stuff and learn and share and be inspired
 
I thought where was this website when I bought my first tank...
