What will this do to my fish?

ok thats just to airait the dirt you should be fine. its just like the stuff pet smart sells there live aquadic plants in. (i dont think it can be toxic due to plants are just as fragle as fish)

I had a feeling that since it was in with plants it couldn't be THAT bad
once again NO dirt :P
 
In some of the lfs near me, they have plants in a plastic tube, when you take them out to wash off the roots, there is that white stuff. Sometimes all of it doesn't come out but it's been in my tanks and nothing happens

no i know the plants at pet smart are in those lil rock puffs (as i call them) as well

thats what i was tryin to say :iagree:
 
i wouldnt worry about it, what ever it is there won't dangerous levels of fertilizer in it or else it would burn the roots.
 
Ok, now the next question is...since I wasn't able to get every single piece :s
How dangerous would this be if eaten? In the tank is 2 8 & 9" polypterus and a 10" & 5" green terror.

probably better then gravel im guessing since it will break down.
 
I think you will be ok. Add some carbon to the tank, or if you have some already in, it might absorb any chemicals. Also, I think you need a python, ditch carrying buckets.
