What would this cost?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
$1500 would be a decent price. Not new but very near new.

The FX6 looks like the FX5 with bells and whistles. Maybe a little more efficent, but no more filtering power then the FX5

I wouldn't pay it but I think it is worth around 2000-2500. It's a very nice looking tank. Heck I even like the stand.

That's kind of more what I was expecting to hear for a retail price... Id love to see where people are getting there 150+ gal tanks new with the prices here lol

IMO paying full retail is not a good deal, specially on something that is a demo. Does everything at least carry full warranty at that price?

Its not retail price, if you add it up- a fx5 (which fx6 will just be a little more whenever its released here) are $250 on amazon x2, all the professional stands I have looked at are very expensive so Im going to just say $800 sand + canopy, the drilled tank is on the price sheet for $1300 which sounds insane but I see a 165g on a website for $1000, im not sure how much the fluval 36" LED light fixtures are but its the top performance model that is supposed to get a wide spectrum of light x4 (i think conservatively you can call them $100), 2x hydor 1650 powerheads for 90 each, a custom already placed and fit 3D background for 300, plus black sand/ decor. With prices close to this the retail would seem about $3000 buying all the pieces from amazon. All the equipment will, the glass box wont since its too easy to damage moving and moving it is up to me. Going to try and get them to 1500, I feel more comfortable paying closer to 1/2 the retail price. One of the big draws for me is Im not creative at all and I want a nice tank. Generally if I get a tank and try to add stuff to it to make it what I see in my head it doesnt work out that way and my tank just looks crappy lol so with this its at least professionally done and I just have to stock it (the only part I can do well ;)). With dims like this it is a 165g tank right? I lose a little to the background but not much
