What would ya put in a big tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well you could have a great display of green terrors in a tank of that size with a few large catfish or you could go with a large community aquarium

get 3 vieja synspillum and a cuban cichlid and a female festea

definitely a big SA/CA cichlid community tank.

midas, jaguars, dovi, black nasty. all those aggressive cichlids all put into 1 tank, it would be AWESOME! lol

I don't know if that would be the best idea... :grinno:

I am still considering pretty much everything at this point, but first got to convince the mother that I should convert the tank. Really it has been 6 years of disappointment and disasters, and I have sank most of my college savings into this tank with no return out of it. I would at least like to enjoy the tank instead of constantly having to work on it. Plus I really don't have time to take care of it anymore. I've got 15 other tanks, a turtle, 2 lizards, and I take care of our family's 2 english bulldogs. Plus I'm still in high school in almost all AP classes, and am currently trying to find a job.

Sorry for the rant.

damn, thats a lot of pet care lol. i had my grandma's dog when i was from 6 to 10, then had hamsters from 10 to 14 then didnt keep pets in high school and first 2 years of college, and my roommate got me into keeping fish. now i have 3 fish tanks, each 55 gallons. pretty easy to take care of. i got 1 more year until im graduating with a degree in finance. my parents just bought a huge house and now i'm thinking about building a pond over the summer and keep some cold water fish (lower maintenance).

It looks like the tank might stay a saltwater afterall... mom wants the pretty fish that float around the tank. :(

I would set up a huge tetra/rasbora tank myself. Lots of plants, hiding places, open spaces mixed in, darker gravel tha would make the fish's colors stand out. Imagine the sight of such a huge planted tank full of brightly colored schools of various fish :)
