Both valid points.I'd call it a ZZkamfa...not quite Kamfa yet. Even though you may consider this fish to be a Kamfa, but keep in mind that you can only really claim such by what its criteria are. You can cross a ZZ x Parrot or ZZ x Kamfa, and a whole variety will be thrown out. Some will be Kamfa, ZZkamfa, and even straight up looking ZZ with yellow/orange/white eyes. Anything cross with a parrot is the Thai standard for creating a Kamfa. But that doesn't mean it's going to be a Kamfa...![]()
@ Tiddlywinks This is true of almost any flowerhorn pairing. I've had two fish that were typical ZZ throw short body, fader, and some kamfa/vieja looking fry.
@ BigOne I agree 100% with you. Which is why I asked what others thought. I really hope he turns out to be fertile, if so, I have a syn female I want to cross him with.
