there are underlying questions, have you and the friend ever "hooked up"?
does he talk about you constantly? was there ever a time where you even just went out on a date?
If you were always a completely platonic friend then you should do the mature thing, sit her down and try to work out whats going on. There is no reason why you should have to stop being friends with someone because the girlfriend doesn't like you, if you have never done anything to make her not like you then you should talk with both the BF (boyfriend/ bestfriend) and the GF should be mature enough to handle him having platonic girlfriends, it sounds like a trust issue (i've had a few) and thats something they need to work out between them as well.
