Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies[1][2]) is an observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990[2] that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3] In other words, Godwin observed that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably makes a comparison to Hitler and the Nazis.

Oh. Ok then. Thanks! I suppose it holds enough water around here anyway....lol (MFK in general, not this particular thread)

I thought it stated that someone would shout hitler or nazi to derail a thread/chat and inevitably people would forget what they were arguing about and instead focus on nazis/hitler?

Regardless, Darius has a point. We do talk a lot of dead fish on this site

Godwin's Law rears it's ugly head, Darius now officially looses any and all arguments from here on out(extra punishment because the person who invoked is German).

I think he lives in Germany but he doesn't look German, most likely has an accent of some kind.

German...a label created from our enemies to name their own destruction. In the end its irrelevant how you call us. We simply are.

;)

And no, i´m not german by birth.
