What would you get??? Bearded vs Hedgehog

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would go hedgie but thats just me. if you are going to get a bearded go to www.petfinder.com and look for one in your area.

personally, i've had both. the bearded's are cool & docile. the hedgehog's are somewhat scittish unless handled regularly. otherwise, they tend to ball up & purtrude their spikes which can be painful. bearded's will pretty much chill on your shirt or shoulder. if your into exotics, go w/the hedgehog's. investment wise, hedgehog's. hope this helps some what.

hedgey but only if your willing to put the time in .

if you can not dedicate 1/2 hour min every day for the hedgy it will not be a good pet , but put the time in and they will be great pets , all mine allow the kids to play with them with no problem and never ball up , they will go through 4-6 weeks of quilling just after you get them , and you need to handle them all through this , it is hard work when quilling but when they come out the other side they are a very diferant hedgehog . get one from a good breeder and see the parents , handle the hog before you buy , it should unroll in your hand in less than 30 seconds for a placid hog .

as with dragons , they can bite and it can hurt , but 9/10 only bite if they smell something on you . they use a litter tray and genrally wake up early eve just after tea for mine , they do need a wheel or they get fat quickly .

cheers col

ps. couple of pics of a couple of mine for you , i have six in total now and they are great pets.
