I want to hear things aquarium related that you would never buy again. Not specifically things that are bad or have broken but things you would not spend the money on again.

For me the factory Aqueon stand for my 180 gallon tank. After paying $400+ for it I am less than satisfied. Yes it looks good out of the box but it is way too short for my liking and the doors rub on the stand and squeak. Being to short there is not even enough room to set up my sump in it. The plumbing is almost against the bottom of the tank.

I will never but another factory stand for any tank over 65 gallons.

pre-made and store bought sumps/wet dry filters after seeing how cheap/easy it is to make them!

Python Faucet Adapter, I've broken two of them. They both lasted about a year or so. I am going to DIY one that is stronger.

Yeah I built this one and it works great!

1/2" PVC with a quick disconnect on the faucet. There is a ball valve off of a “T” in the sink end to open up for a drain.

Oh I may just try one of those then, good call. ;)

And I almost forgot Stealth Heaters - Never again. I still have a few of the old style in service but after getting a new 300w only to have it shat the bed after a couple days, no thanks. Especially when it's leaking tons of voltage into the tank... I've also had an older one die randomly after only a couple years service. It did not leak any voltage into the tank though when it died, it just stopped making any heat.

Interesting, got a closer pic of the faucet part you made?
