Probably won't ever buy another Aqua Clear filter. I had three leak within a month.

That is the exact reason Ii started this thread. This is the first bad thing I have ever heard about the AC filters. Thanks for the input!

The only thing it does not do is clean the bottom but I have sand so i dont vacuum it anyways.

is the only reason it doesn't vacuum just because the end of it isn't designed for vacuuming? I see nothing on the faucet end that would preclude that ability. I have to use a portable dishwasher and that quick connect on your faucet is exactly what my dishwasher uses and this would be such a good thing for me. Thanks.

tsunami in a tank,were the plants ok or were they shredded lol.


As for me id probably never buy an fx5 again and definitely not any more kribs.

Were you running lava through them? J/K. I believe you, but what actually happened? Bad seals or cracks in the plastic? I run AC's on almost every tank I set up and have had few issues thus far. Were yours used, maybe dried out too long? *eyes filters nervously*

Yep. Three out of five AC70s crapped out within 30 days.
