WHAT WOULD YOU PUT WITH DATNOIDS?

i've personally kept dats with knifefish,bichirs,various cats,large barbs,large peaceful cichlids,small/medium snakeheads,aro,fire eel and they should be ok with gars,rays etc
 
Usually Dats will not be aggressive with other Dats if there is a big enough size difference. It is when Dats are closer to the same size, when the problems could start.

very true. i got rid of the 4 dats that were 3-4 inches cause they never stayed stable and constantly chased each other. i kept my 2.5" NTT.(the one that has the 3 thinbars on the body so correct me if i am wrong) he was always stable.
 
Any cichlid which is large enough and not overly aggressive, catfish, large scats, large gourami, pacus, tinfoil barb, siniperca chuatsi.
 
any ancient fish besides african lungfish and,some catfish,maybe rays, will work
 
aro, bichir, jack dempsey, ebjd, clown loaches, (loaches of any kind). pictus catfish. bala sharks. gourami's . pleco (common or fancies) Gars, true parrots, otto, pbass. mono, silver dollar.

theres your list :D any of them should be good tank mates for your datnoids from what ive experienced.
 
well everyone thanks for the suggestions. but i am going with a 280 gallon datnoid, p-bass, and birchir tank. 2 monos, 2 tems, 2 ocellaris, 1 NTT, 2 ST's, ornate, and delhezi. i think that will be alright in a 280. here's my new 10" mono. he's in a 75 gallon to himself till i grow out the rest of my inhabitants in my 120g. the 280 i am hoping on ordering on the 22nd.
