What your favorite cichlid you've kept

Mine is probably chocolate because the ones I've had over the 5+ years has always been laid back compared to other cichlids. They can take care of themselves if needed however will not go out of their way to mess with others.

Got some nics now and they are growing on me also.

I love how feisty nics are. They are really active and have a lot of attitude. They also aren't overly aggressive and have great colors. My female is always annoying my female a. Rostratus and it is pretty funny. It seems more like play than aggression .

Midas, oscar, butti in that order but oscars on a whole have the best personality, predatory, greedy fun fish to keep usually.

Although he has done nothing but eat, breed, and attack since I got him I'm February. (Drawn my blood on 2 occasions now, also spawned twice) I have to say this guy.

Thanks. After my loisellie that robertsoni is my favorite. I've had her for about 7 years now. Hope to keep her as long as possible. I loved my male h. Deppi but he died w/ no known cause. I want another, but they are aggressive as hell.
