What's a good canister with no bypass?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've got a rena and like it alot, but its a little hard to start back up after I break it down to clean. I just got a marineland c360 off Craigs List. Its not set up yet though. I really like the design of it & its a large canister. I read marinelands had a leaking problem a couple years ago, not sure if they have corrected that or not.

It doesn't have to be. Just pre-fill the filter with tank water after cleaning before connecting it to the hose, and the priming is done. I actually love the priming on my xp3 a little more than eheim classic's, although the eheim's double-valves are a breeze!

Eheims are tad too expensive for me but we'll worth it. My fluval 104 is good but I think there's bypass in it...

Was leaning towards the c series 360 but read where some people after a year or half it started leaking but there pretty good size for media.

How big is it and how many media trays? C360 looks really good. Rena xp3 heard was a good filter but kinda looks ugly lol!

I've got an rena xp3 & a marineland c360. c360 is about 50% larger than the rena and the media trays are much bigger too. I can't comment on how well it works since its not set up yet, but it has a really solid design IMO. Nothing wrong with the rena though, its a great filter so far.
