What's everyone breeding/planning on breeding?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I started a veil tail Red Texas project a while back and going to take that further. (One in attached images)

I never had any luck trying to start a Kamfa line so setting up for that also.

I have a Thailand Green Texas and a Rainbowrunner line Carpintis that paired up and just waiting for them to pull the trigger. I'm excited to see the outcome with those.

A few other flowerhorn and red Texas projects I'm figuring out which direction to take.

Multiple convict hrp strains.

Pondering Vieja Syn's

Last but not least, I'm removing the divider in the gold morph jag tank pretty soon so those 2 can start up again.

Great project. Noy a fan of veil tail but that fish is a beauty.

I saw Chris rounds gold jags, awesome looking fish.

There s this guy by name Thomas Thompson on fb, he says ge started from scratch and use lots of species to kae hybrids.

Currently working on growing out some angelfish to breed (just mutts) the biggest one looks to be part gold pearl scale and part koi, second one looks to be just a black marble and the third one looks to be a black marble mixed with a zebra (hidden stripes). Had a koi mixed with a cloud but sadly lost him for some reason, was doing just fine one min and an hour later he was gone. Had him for a lil over a month.

Also planning on catching a few orange spotted sunfish to see if I can make em a lil more common in the hobby. The only problem is is finding some lol.

Also plan on trying to breed my female FH's if I can find a big male for em, needs to be almost fully grown for the biggest of the 2 girls. Big Bertha is at 8in atm so not an easy task to say the least.

And lastly I'm currently line breeding some endler/guppies in hopes of making a white tiger double sword tail. So far going good, even getting some females with body stripes and getting them to breed true to body pattern just need to start working on the color and tail shape.

Got a few other projects I'd like to work on just not going to be able to get to that this year atleast.

Currently my neolamprologus meeli are breeding unsure of how many females to males I have but seems at least one female is producing fry. I've got a 10g full of fry ATM so that's good.
My female cyps keep eating their eggs I think I'll see them with a mouth full or the indication of a mouth full but 2 days later nothing. Maybe I need to spend more time out there watching them. It's not the best setup at the moment.
My buscheri have "paired" but very little breeding behavior from them. Maybe she's not really all that into him. Once I get them into the 125 I will reintroduce the other male hopefully with a couple more females too.
Giant ramshorns snails still laying eggs like crazy. Normal ramshorns too.
Crayfish have stalled guessing maybe an over population thing. I pulled a male and a female out and put them in a separate tank hoping to get some more breeding going. I may give up on them as they are just feeders and not really needed.

Currently:
Feeder guppies
Yellow Vienna guppies
Neo. Multies
BN plecos
Bronze corys - eggs never survive as they get eaten

Dreams:
Feather fin green dragon BN
Clown pleco
SD sp

Pipe dreams: not currently in my inventory but ...donations accepted :grinyes:
L046 plecos
Leopard frog pleco

That veil tail is amazing to watch. It's hilarious watching a 4" fish (not counting the tail...lol) have the attitude of a 15" fish. He's small but pretty much runs that tank. Chris has the Xanthic, which are beautiful and I told him if he decides to move them, it's my destiny to become their new owner...lol. I have the Czech line gold morph's. Basically Lago Xiloa golds that they line bred the markings from. Once all my holding tanks are set back up the divider comes down.

I have a trio of Geo Winemilleri I’m hoping produce a pair.
Festae and Electric blue Acara have already spawned again. Currently using them as feeders.
I have a pair of veil tail marble Angels that spawn regularly but I can’t seem to raise the fry. I think I have some weak genes going on.
I will probably break up the pair and try a different female.
Albino Bristle nose Plecos throw a spawn now and again. I’m over run! Lol

I have five L018 I’ve been growing for a while.
Male keeps trying to trap a female in his cave ,but so far no luck.
I’m thinking I need to add some more water flow to the tank.
