There is a member on here with 3 big ones. Looks awesome but defiantly couldn't have tank mates with 3 adults.

Yes! I am referring to that guy also. I cannot find him now. The 3 beauties are HUGE. They are between 26" to 32". Rafini, buy a large tank and do the same setup! Joke! Actually I said 3 coz I think they do well if more than one. From what I read, the psychotic ones are the ones kept alone since young.
Too bad i didn't take advanage of my 48x24x24... I got a bunch of cichlids that don't get over 8 inches but one might be a choclate and get 12 inches but I think it is probibly an acura... I wish i got smaller pbass specis but my cichlids are cool too...
And of course we know now.. dumb people bought them and couldn't house them so they released them into the wild and now they are illegal even for responsible people. Bleh..
Too many things are illegal in the land of the free these days and it's all "for our own good".

I would actually consider going back and getting another 2. these guys are just so amazing to watch, they never stand still and everything they do seems to have some intelligence behind it.

just to be clear, they are not legal in all of Canada.
for instance, here in Ontario, they have been banned for aboout 8 years now.
not sure about other provinces though.
because we are right on the great lakes, where the northern species of snakehead has been found in the system, they are illegal. Obviously, you are not in Ontario lol.
nice fish. they look cool when they get huge, even if they do lose the red line.
