So i dont fault any vendor for sellig us a sick fish just like i dont fault and lfs for doi g the same. Especially when ordering online the risk is always there even wetspot sold me 2 deformed wc polys.
Any way whwn i was placing the order with toyin i was set on the faranah because i liked dmd's so much and wanted another endli to replace the cb i lost plus im not crazy about my current bv but am unsure if i am going to go through with selling him. Was between a nigerian and another bv. I chose the nigerian just because i figure it would be fun to argue over them vs dabola/faranah types.
Toyin calls me back and says he isnt comfortable selling me the nigerian now but i could wait a couple of weeks. He was told that some of the fish in the tank with nigerians may have parasites and he wanted to treat them before selling.
Not really a big deal since i assume all new fish at the least have parasites and get treated for them but i still thought that was ver very cool of him... its the first time a vendor has done that ime

I wanted smaller but i am guessing between 9 and 11 inches but totally dwarfs the faranah lap.

Dont know if you remember but when we were in our infancy with polys i really wanted a bv. When i finally got one from wetspot it was a total let down, even worse was there bs 15% store credit lol
So im really happy to final have one

FYI - Faranah Laps are different than Guinea Laps. Guinea usually don't have those independent vertical zig zag lines like french fries (crinkle cut). It's more indicative to Faranah label.
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in Wet Spot for sending a jacked up fish like that and not doing better than a 15% credit. With the moke they did the right thing with a replacement offer and that is what they should have done with the BV. This has made me leery of ordering from them online. Since Im only a couple hours away, I guess I would want to see the fish Im buying so I dont get some horrible deformed fish.

So the lap you ordered is considered just a Faranah lap? No Guinea in the name like mine was called? Cause yours has a very distinct organized pattern while mine is just more swirly and disorganized.
