I don't mind if I get a few lower grade ones. I actually like the A grade best, as they have a good mix of red and white.

Crystal Red Shrimp is one of the two species. I bought S+ grade shrimp, and I believe they may have even sent a couple SS. The other species is the one Hendre blurted out the moment he saw the thread title.

I didn't tell him my secrets, there's just a thread where we share our plans for nano tanks. There's usually only 4 people who bother reading it, including myself.

Not sure if you know this, but at least in Asia, the grade of shrimp describes how solid their colors are along with how well defined the pattern is for that type of shrimp...

So basically C grade etc, will have a lot of translucent areas or very weak coloring in their shells, where as true SSS quality shrimp will look like a fake piece of acrylic in your tank coz the colors are so solid and striking, witj very well defined pattern...

They aren't perfectly solid, but they're pretty close. Only the first red stripe towards their underside isn't solid.

Dont get me wrong, yours are actually quite good quality... but personally speaking, if you want higher quality, cull the ones that arent showing signs of looking good from a young age and eventually the colony should get better and better colors...
