Keep an eye on the other fish, if you thought those johanna were bad, you're in for a surprise. ;)

I'm beginning to think the johanna weren't as bad as I had once thought, considering that I now have proof that my psittacus is a nighttime stalk-and-snatch predator. Once I figured that out, I immediately regretted sending those 3 pikes back to John. But life goes on, and now there are Lents here. ;)

Going to check on them now... hopefully everyone's alive and in one piece.

My flashes washes them out a bit, but it looks like their first order of business is to decimate the imaginary pikes they see in their reflection. Every pike I've put in this tank does this. They don't seem to do this in my other tanks.

I see that my psittacus has a big discolored scrape up his snout and forehead. Looks like someone gave him a talking to. ;) He's swimming around grumpily and pouting. He wouldn't even eat shrimp pellets and they are his favorite. I love that someone finally took the wind out of his sails a bit after he's been dishing it out for a year. hehehe.

very nice ryan. i may have to bit the bullet and get one now.

You should have got the one I brought to the last Atlanta auction!!!!

Looks like they recovered from shipping quickly Ryan. I'm glad they are in a tank were they can be enjoyed. I told you the psittacus would be put in his place quickly;). Few fish can hold up to a lent tag teaming. They have never went looking for touble for me though so don't be to concerned. They just don't take any crap.

They've been chasing my notatus a bit but I think it's because he's trying to hang out near the fake log they've claimed. He's probably moving to another tank this weekend though so it shouldn't be an issue.

It looks like the psittacus is going after the more mellow of the two, then the other pike sticks up for it by going after the psittacus. He's not ready to give up his alpha status yet, but after watching them face off for a while this afternoon, he won't wear the crown much longer.

These guys really are beautiful and I'm glad I had the opportunity to buy them. Thanks again!
