What's the arowana for me...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Black aro's in our place will come every twice a month so I can just reserve by giving extra bucks for the owner of LFS guys. =)

And for Jardinis I would think a triginus will be enough right? Or a couple of rays? or I could have 4 of them, But somehow I really do want a catfish, or ray within it, specifically guys, between Jardinis and Blacks, which is vulnerable to the dreaded ED, or diseases which would hurt the fish so bad that... and yes! I do have to plan for a sump, and a over headfilter and some biological plants within the sump or headfilter. I will post pics and some blueprints for it.

Ha you are worried about the price of a black but tigs and rays are going to cost you more :) sounds like me lol but good luck!

Well for the tig and the rays I got someone which I could get em cheap, specially the rays... But as I am worried for the price as of now, that's because for the chili/super red aro's offered here would cost me 1495$ which is a quite boom for me! That's a fortune!

:help2::asianarow:feedback:

Thanks! A little more! The thread died off drowning due to new posts so, a little BUMP.

well i would stay away from rays if you keep a jar, as turtles said they arent always the killers people say, but c'mon why risk it. you could get a nice tig or juru cat to go along with the jar, IMO if you have the chance on getting an asian aro (RTG are my fave) you should go with that

I'm in Asia so no illegal whatnots could stop me, it's just the decision thing that I'm struggling to think of... RTG can be nice, but you see when people says 'RED' as of any aro, the price would go boom. more like 5x international trading price. Im just in college so, ahaha, my money would be in season of dry and flourish. Most likely drought. If I buy a arapaima that's a lot more cheaper than a RTG you see here...

Arapaima = 822$
Anything that has red on it Aro = 1000-1500$

It's because of those Chinese (Hey this is not a racist thing ok?) merchants and their feng shui that makes the Aro's prices high. Same goes for FH... they affiliate those fishes with luck and money, which I think is too impossible to make you rich if you just pet one, but if you make a farm out of it surely it would give us fortune. But this is just my thing, I do want it as a hobby only, if ever I got offsprings of any of my fish, I might sell it for cheap or give it freely depends on the persons ofcourse.

If you're broke right now I recommend you keep saving until you can buy the arowana you really want. The cheapest green or jardini will cost the same to house and maintain as a high grade red or XB over it's life, why take a short cut now and be looking at a low quality fish for the next 10 years thinking "if only I was a little more patient" every time you look at your tank...

your still lucky about the price of arowana for me for a b grade is about 5000 to 6000 and for a A grade its about 10 000 to 20 000 thats for like a blue base chilli red. rtg and x back are about 3000 to 5000 for a grade and there also illegal except for silvers wich are about 500 to 1000
