whats the best chemical media to keep odors and nitrate low

I'm using the .5L jar on my tank. I also spent the extra money and bought "the bag" from seachem instead of using a random media bag. It is more expensive but is also guaranteed to hold up to the bleaching where other bags could break down. On my 110 with approx 50 mbuna I've noticed the nitrate has dropped from 60-80ppm after a week down to about 40ppm.

How is the nitra-zorb? Still unsuccessful with the recharge? I was think about trying chemical filtration too and nitra-zorb came to mind but if your having problems with the recharge then I will pass on it.

Yeah I was going to add another .5L jar, but since none of the stores by me carry it I've been waiting until I put in another order online to get some.

I will let ya know it worked first round. It calls for a salt recharge. But salt was not cleaning it well so i bleached then salted again. I will let ya know the results.
