I've researched 100's of big aro pics in tanks and all of these tanks with or without tankmates are all Bare.... Is this because of easier water maintenece to keep clean or what?
Most of the time the reason behind a bare bottom tank is easier maintenance, and there are a great deal of people who keep Aro’s with tankmates.

well i have a jardini thats about 6" with 7 Red Hook's in a 80 gallon while i set up my 6'-2'-2' 180 gallon and i was just curious on the bare tank cause i think it just looks plain and ****ty but so what your saying is as long as i'm willing to do all the cleaning and maintenence i'll be fine with gravel and some decor in my 180?

My tank is not bare bottom, it has sand and rocks and driftwood. I have a silver aro, a clown knife, a jag, and an albino catfish in it.

nice pics i'm pretty excited about setting up the 180 I have 2 FILSTAR 100G canister filters and a Emporer 400 penguin Dual bio-wheel filter on it so my filtration should be excellent. Going with 2 Large amazon swords (plastic of course because of the red hooks) 2 medium size pieces of Driftwood and white gravel with Black Backround....
