whats up with arowanas, people are always talking about how they are the sweetest fish ever, but personally I think they are ugly. Is there something about these fish that I'm missing(I have never had one)

They glow in the dark. And poop gold. and if you are really cool then they fly.

They actually have really cool personalities and behavior for a fish.

Yeah, I've been keeping fish for about a year. I started with a 5 gallon just for $hits and giggles then got a 10 gallon about a month later. I never thought I'd be into fish but I got addicted and then I bought a 55 gallon about 5 months ago, now I can't wait until I get out of college so I can get a huge tank when I actually have money. I can't believe how much I've learned just on this site

I'm not a huge Asian arowana fan but the reds are a sight to see. I would love to see an Asian arowana in person. As far as arowana in general, they're beautiful fish...not my absolute favorite above all but very cool to watch. Go out and buy a cheap silver and see what we mean.

you really have to see one in person to appreciate ARos, its not just the look but the graceful swimming around the tank.. one word to describe it "Majestic"
