I think there’s a member on her who has a group of fairly big loaches slippery slimecoat . The biggest I saw was one on YouTube called marge and was massive

They do grow very slowly. You can have one 2 decades old and have it not be 12 inches while some can hit 12 inches in 3 years or less if they're given the right conditions. It's genetics I think that plays the biggest part.

I don't think the difference is due to genetics. I've had some fish suddenly start growing faster than the rest after several years. It's probably due to parasite load.

Just curious. I realize you're very young, explains a lot
