Whats the last interesting or cool thing you learned about fish keeping?

In over 30 years of fishkeeping the most intresting thing I've ever learned is how little I really know....

No Wolf3101, you have to remember your glass is half full not half empty...

It's not how little we know... It's how much we still have to learn!

(Like keeping the lid half on the tank when you dump your LMBs in so they don't rocket right back out!!!)

I learned that no matter what people (MFK or otherwise) tell you, fish wont all behave the same in the same situations. Just because Tom's convict does X doesnt mean yours will!

Never believe anyone who claims to "know what theyre talking about," or who "knows everything there is to know."

This applies to the guy at the lfs.. double check everything they say.

Fish keepers are way way way too cautious about the fragility of their fish. If you aren't keeping fish that have extremely exacting requirements .. dont worry so much.. If a drop of the wrong stuff gets in the water your fish wont die.. (unless it's poision ) Fish are resiliant, treat them well most of the time and they will be able to stand up to a little punishment Just like people!

Your fish have personalities!
