oh this is surely god send
i was thinking of asking this as i was supposed to go out of town for three days and was thinking if it would be alright for my fish

A month, when i went to Europe ,we visited our family in former Yugoslavia. That was about three years ago but all i had was the dinky ten gallon.

The most I've left my fish for was a week, they were fine, just hungry. Also kind of depends on the fish and its a juvenile. I'm sure fully grown oscars and aros can go quite a bit without food.

During Hurricane Wilma, I had to leave my apartment. I went two weeks without being home but one time. I also only did one water change and one feed at the time I went back. So, I left my fish a week on nothing but an airstone in the tank, and only lost 1 tetra, and 1 cory catfish. I don't recommend this, but it shows you how hardy fish can be. Hope this helps.:)

I was away for 13 days during the same storm, and there was no electricity, but I had lost a few fish including a breeding pair of salvini and some other inexpensive fish.
