I was away for 13 days during the same storm, and there was no electricity, but I had lost a few fish including a breeding pair of salvini and some other inexpensive fish.

yeah, forgot to mention battery powered airstones, no power. lol

Quick story: I used to live with my ex-girlfriend and when I moved out I left a tank of Daffodil Brichardi. After 4 months her brother called begging me to take the fish saying my ex never fed or cared for the fish from the day I left.

All the fish survived without any care and having to live with a beast of an ex-girlfriend.

Three days are nothing.
Good luck.

once left koi for 1 week no food went off to the south came back he was still alive but when i fed him he went crazy for the food hehe.(but its a koi they are like gods haha)

my strategy for leaving my tank for awhile is to get a bunch of ghost shrimp. When my fish are well fed they ignore them and the shrimp hide pretty well. ive noticed that if i lessen their feedings say during some tank maintenance, ghost shrimp start disappearing. So before I leave for a long weekend I do a good cleaning, top off the water and dump in a bunch of ghost shrimp. Typically after 3 days they have all been hunted down and eaten.
