Posting a poll to this thread would be kind of pointless since I have already posted the same poll before and posted it here. :p

well then i guess that makes this whole thread pointless from ur point of view. :D

Here's your answer:

And for those who don't like clicking links, the most common size is 55-90g which got 59.84% of the vote out of 127 voters.

Problem with that pool is it was for all sized tanks, not just Monster tanks.

Sorry if anyone is offended but 55-90g tanks are not MONSTER. You may keep Monsterfish in such tanks but they are not monster tanks.

Then this thread is pointless, b/c one person's idea of a "monster tank" wouldn't be the same as everyone else's. Also, a fishkeeper's idea of a monster tank often changes every time they get a larger tank, so attempting to answer this question would be like attempting to find an exact decimal to represent pi or attempting to represent infinity as an integer.

Sounds alot like what someone said back in post #9

I agree that 'monster tank' is relative.

when I started fishkeeping, I was 11 years old and my dad had two 30g tanks that I started taking over the maintainence on (under his direction)

a few years later (93) we bought a 90g tank.

well, let me tell you: that tank seemed HUGE to me at the time, given that I was used to 30g tanks and I could not reach the bottom standing up (I was in grade 9 at the time)

now, a 90 doesn't seem big at all..now that I am grown up and have a 150g..

so it changes.

to me a 150g tank is monster.

to those with 450g tanks, its not.

it depends..

I agree. This is MONSTERfishkeepers.com So since were asking what's the most common/average per this website you can't be telling me a 55 is a Monster tank. If were talking about in the whole hobby then yes a 55 could easily be considered a "Monster". Just our opinions though. So no flippin out please since I'm sure some will do so and make complete fools of themselves over the internet. :D
