The Pokemon thing was a joke, hes the one calling me an idiot and the whole no life/GF thing. I simply respond the way he was talking to me.
Oooorr....you can be the bigger person and just ignore him. Name-calling (regardless of who started it) is what little kids resort to when they can't think of anything intelligent to say. I think it was Mark Twain that said, "It is better to remain silent and be
thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
If you guys want to be technical, it was EvilYardGnome that first instigated all this. This thread had been dead for over a month, and yesterday, he bumped it with nothing intelligent to say, seemingly for the sole purpuse to insult LargeCichlids. Very troll-like behavior I must say.
Everyone here has their own opinions of LargeCichlids research abilities (or lack thereof), and has probably stated them many times over. Old news....Z-trip, repeating yourself like a broken record isn't being constructive; you only succeed in goading LC into an name-calling argument (like any self-respecting middle-schooler would do), and it's also starting to annoy everyone else. I know you feel strongly against him, but you need to evaluate yourself and decide whether you want to be part of the problem or part of the solution. Instead of drilling him about his short-comings, try to help him. If you don't have anything productive to say, don't say anything at all.
LargeCichlids, I don't want to repeat the obvious, but I think (and hope) you are aware of how people percieve you on this forum. You have to learn how to shrug off cheap insults. Retaliating by stooping to their level and call them names back only amplifies your immaturity. Other than possibly giving you a brief moment of self-gratification, it doesn't help you at all. Instead of acting below your age, it would behoove you to start thinking of ways to prove us wrong about your abilities to find out info on your pets. You claim that you knew what you were getting into when you bought your nile, but the frequency and phrasing of your questions indicates everything to the contrary. We don't mind answering your questions, but you have to understand our frustration when someone buys a large animal species on impulse and seemingly knows very little about it. This is something I don't mind repeating over and over...you HAVE to
research,
research,
research as much as possible before getting a new pet. And you can't honestly say that you've done that before getting any of your pets.
