Clearnosed Skate
Cownose Ray
One-and-a-million pice of crap yesterday (leader, my hook went into the eye of a red bead placed on the leader. There was a 2oz sinker on it, and I was using light tackle, thought I had a fish.)
Yesterday, targeting Herring, we naturally looked for Gulls. I saw Gulls diving, but they were being fed. I figured that out of fishing spirit I would give it a spin with a shin-kai-zuri Herring rig. I cast into an area with only a few scattered gulls. All of a sudded the rod bend over all the way. But the drag was still locked from yanking a snagged line out of the rocks. SNAP my rig is gone. I hooked a GULL. I felt so bad about it, i stayed around and watched the Gulls to make sure none were trailing my rig. None were (and i would know, its a 4ft rig with a sinker on it)
Pelican foul-hooked in florida (they sit on your popping float and when it goes under they just wait for you to reel a tasty Drum past them.)
Few Turtles, few puffers, my sister caught a 6'' Bluegill on a huge, HUGE hook we were using for Catfish.
BTW Ratfish (AKA Chimera) is halfway between Elasmobranches and bony fish.)

Unbelievable...a gull could spool off a lotta line quick, one of the places i fish, has one mallard duck that does you the same way, what a pain but i guess they gotta eat too :)

I once reeled in a boot. Pretty strange to me.

i caught a 6" blue gill on a foot of line, i was fishing the "old fashion way" lol line hook and hands lol.

we were fishing in a bay off of sea isle city, NJ and my cuz caught a huge monkey wrench... the hook went right through the little hole at the end of the handle lol

A Nike "All star" shoe with a tadpole in it.

I wished I had re=set the drag so I could fight/land it. Not to say I fought a bird, but to make sure that I got the hook out.

A drywall compound bucket (empty) with thousands of small snails in the bucket.
And I thought I had something large and heavy on my line...lol
This was on the Chesapeake Bay, near Soloman's Island.
