whats the strangest thing

ok i have a few alright i was fishing in the missouri river in council bluffs where the indian creek dumps in and i was using ultralight rod and reel and a small hook with a tiny grasshoper trying to catch a bluegill and i caught a 5 pound walleye in the middle of the summer!!:WHOA:

also i was dipnetting for some small minnows and shiners for my gar and i thougt i netted a log and it was a 3 pound flathead!!!:WHOA: in just 2 feet of water to!!

ok one more ok i was fishing where i caught my walleye and i made a little throwline and i was fishing for a baby flathead and i caught a 2 pound flathead!!in 1 foot of water!:WHOA:

I caught this Rough-Skinned Newt while fishing for bass with a worm and bobber.

I didn't catch this but it happened to my buddy while we were fishing. Just getting dark so we were using poppers for bass and big bluegill. He had a bubble bobber on and when reeling in an owl swooped down from a tree and picked up the bubble and carried it up about twenty feet. Thankfully he dropped it and didn't get tangled in the line. THe owl was huge.
 
does a sailboat count?Line Got stuck while putting my bait into the water while i was in my canoe......the sailboat manouvered away and I FOLLOWED, shouting and unwillingly.
By the way, my fishin-buddy caught a pike-fisherman while trying to get control over this huge carp(so he thought)and was trying to pull this guy in....

when i was 8 i was on a dock with a few extending piers and i casted from one but overshot by about 20 feet and went over a pier into the deck of a docked speedboat and my spoon lure hooked into the boat's carpet:ROFL:
my mom went and got it lol

Damn if you had just been at that spot the night before, sounds like you missed a wild ass party!

But to the topic...I caught a freshwater mussel fishing for catfish with a nightcrawler. And the next strangest thing I ever caught was a fish scale. A freaking huge fish scale. Had my pole in a rod holder and suddenly it just bent over ass if it had snagged a boat. I picked it up and set the hook and when I did the line went slack. I thought I broke off on a big catfish or something but when I rolled up there was one single scale on the hook. It was about 2-3" in diameter. Had to have been a huge Gar or Carp. No other fish in Texas lakes would have scales that big.
 
Caught a 12 foot hammerhead while flounder fishing in Texas City.
That scared the heck out of me when i thought about the shallow depth and all.
