Key word being "usually". A wounded large predator that won a fight is at risk by these opportunistic cats. It would be like trying to fend of a swarm of wasps. Some of them are going to make it through.

DID YOU JUST TRY TO CORRECT ODDBALL!? :banhim:

He's a noob, he'll learn ;) lol

Glyphus shark may be the ultimo if some suggestions on their life are correct. If they spend their whole lives in or very near rivers in northern australia, they may be the most adapted shark to those conditions.

Glyphus sharks are a serious contender indeed. They qualify much better as a freshwater shark than does a bull shark IMO. Bulls are saltwater fish that sometimes go into fresh, Glyphus are primarily freshwater fish afaik.

I doubt a gars teeth could do death damage to a raging Arapaimas stone skin body and ramming force though.

And how would the paima really damage the gar? Don't forget that the gar has ganoid scales- bone armor- where as the paima has normal scales. The gar is much better armored.

tell ur cetopsis to bite my electric eel:), however a swarm might then require it to ' recharge'

4 feet of salamander would get munched by a 8 foot glyphus shark. They are monstrous but there are many fish who could take it for lunch. Big Goonch, big shark, big GATF etc there for sure ultimo of their area though

+1. A big, soft salamander would make for easy bitin's for anything with large cutting teeth like a GATF or Glyphus.

anyone wanna add some video/article or picture proof of their nominated species?

The candiru proves you don't have to be the biggest to be the sacriest. I would worry more about them than a Pima, Gar, Stergon etc.
