I dont remember whats its called but Ive read that develops when a Lake has clean water. Its feels like jelly right? Looks like a Jelly ball in the water or stuck on branches

Word is water's red with iron. I haven't been to the beach yet. It feels like a really firm jello. She got it off a branch near the water. Looked to have formed around a stick of some sort.

Freshwater Bryozoans ...they are common in this time of year and may get bigger up to the size of beach ball. We got these calls from concerned people quite regularly. They are harmless and not poisonous.
