What's This White Stuff?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The rays are more sensitive than your other fish. They produce a huge amount of ammonia. If they are fairly new, I will say the tank is having an ammonia spike. If you have had them for a while and you are sure the tank is how it is supposed to be, I would bacterial/fungal infection. You NEED to do a water change before work. And on the way home see if anywhere is open and get them some antibiotics.

Thanks for the input. I'll test the ammonia and do water change no matter what the ammonia reading comes out. The ray have been with me a month, all three were raised since babies by others..

His last post was 5 minutes before yours....And 9 Min's from my post...lmao

Water change or moving them to the other tank w/ less population should help.

Both dats and rays produce a lot of waste... maybe overfeeding or population is a problem ?

What did you feed them or other fish in the tank?
