Whats up with blood thirsty aquarists?

What happens to people who just watch our (as in our I mean MFKer's) videos is they see the aggressive feeding and behavior of theses fish. But when it comes down to taking care of these fish and being knowledgeable their screwed these people buy these fish out of impulse. And in the end the fish really suffer and end up with serious problems or just dead, and people think just cause they own a Monster Fish they know everything.

It is very sick how people do that. Even posting videos on YouTube of their fish killing each other...Makes me so mad.

I just never got into tiny fish. The first fish i ever owned was an oscar, which consequently are my favorite species, so I guess that makes me a fan of "aggressive" fish. But I consider myself a fan of very large fish, and we all know that very large fish eat smaller fish, thats just the way it is.I also have and ornate bichir, and I dont always give my fish feeders, the bichir gets squid cubes sometimes and the oscar gets pellet food. But unfortunately there are people who just want to watch their fish destroy other fish. These are the people who dont know what fish can coexist and which ones cant, then wonder why one gets all beat up or even end up dead. I also love when you hear people that dont know a whole lot about fish talk about how awesome piranha are because of what they THINK theyre like........NO THEYRE NOT.........then they end up disappointed!!! but to each their own!

Nothing wrong with picking the meanest one. Meanest usually means healthiest. Also, mean fish tend to have better personalities IMO.

Comparing fish to dogs is like comparing dogs to humans. :screwy:
There is no comparison to make.

Exactly, no human life should be threaten no matter what they did to a dog.

I personally don't care for a fish being "too" aggressive, because at the end of the day I would prefer it goes in a community of similar temperament fish (cichlids for example), but I do enjoy watching a predator doing what it does best, whether its a pbass chasing and striking at a food item or whatever...it doesn't have to be a live fish/prey item in order to see a predatory habits of a fish...I still find it cool to watch moray eels feed and all, but doesn't have to be a live food just to watch a fish show its predatory behaviors
