I have been buying slow. I got the Aro for my big tank and hey just attacked him. The RTC was for the big tank but they attacked him. SO i just have a mean FU*KING tank. i am gana buy a 240g for the aro but i don't have a job.

The first thing that pops into mind is that your ph has gone way off in either direction as sometimes fish react by overproducing a their slime coat, testing kits are cheap, you need one, bum some test strips from science class tommorrow if you have to but first raise that temp. and do a partial water change, the 3 diseases I see listed are all fairly rare, 1 clostia dies when the tank temp. reaches 90 degrees F. The other 2, Chilodonella and Tricodina respond to acriflavine found in anti velvet meds, they both attack fish whose immune response is depressed, such as when the fish is chronically chilled. As stated above, get a divider for the 100g.
just a question about the divider. if i did that he would have the same swimming space as he dose in the 29g and my 3 oscars have just enough room to stay out of eachothers way. my 9 1/2inch one chases the 7inch ones so if I bunch them up they might fight and hurt or kill each other and i don't want that. So y would I put him in the 100g just to Letr him have the same swimming space and possibly hurt my oscars?
I woke up today and his tail fin has lost all color and is like a white color and a little frayed. Is this a disease or do u think it is the jewel cichlid mabe??? I am going to school and to my LFS later and I will ask him but i need help plz. I am getting worried about my Aro.
Doing a 35% water change won't hurt. Its the first thing I do when a fish looks a bit unhealthy. Keep a sample of the water pre change for testing.

It could be either, I 'm assuming that the 100 is at a decent temp., if you can get the 29g up to mid 80s or even high 80s then don't move the aro, still do the water changes, and take a scraping of slime to the lfs with you, some can do a microscopic check for protozoals like Chilodonella, if that is what it is use the acriflavine meds at about 1 1/2 times the strength recommended to treat velvet. Get that water checked for ammonnia products, ph, and copper. Your aro is in bad shape right now and at serious risk. If it lives get that bigger tank as soon as you can, if it doesn't then for the next one's sake wait until you can give it proper housing before getting another.FlammingWoodChuck said:
The wound on that RTC looks like a heater burn. The oscars are just being territorial. When you introduce your aro again into the big tank, you should move some rocks and/or the plants that your oscars made like their "home". This would make everyone like new into their environment. I've had oscars and aros in the same tank, and I didn't have the problem you mentioned. Change the structures in the tank and every thing should be fine.FlammingWoodChuck said:
