80% water changes arent too bad i do it once a week on my 240 and up until a few months ago 2x weekly

I think he's just a big fan of Sebastian Vettel, who is, a great driver btw.

I'd do the w/c as suggested. Have you tested your nitrates yet?
A big fan is an under statment! I have his # tatted on my wrist when he won his 1st wdc! This seasons a little rough, cars have changed, thanks for noticing, ur good in my book!

80% water change is the epitome of good fish husbandry, and would only kill your stock if you do it wrong. Many breeders, including discus breeders (considered a sensitive species) do 100% water changes every day to optimize growth potential.

100% water changes? Down to the gravel huh. I'll stick with 20-30 for now, I've never tried it without, but I'm pretty sure my fish enjoy the water in the tank. Discus are hard as hell, all amphibious and whatnot.

Just make sure you use prime! And api algaeflex may solve ur problem. Imo a uv will def work but dont be scared of heavy water changes, clean water maximizes a fishs growth potentiol. clean water, good diet and a big tank is the BEST way to grow a big healthy fish!

I'm going pretty big with these, for the big tank i'm doing about 35-40% and the little tank about 50%. Here's what it looks like today.

I just made my day 3 water change and noticed tiny white string looking things in the big tank. Very tiny. They are all over floating around and I just wanted to make sure they don't match the description of any parasites found in aquariums. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks again guys.
