Fishes 33, if that 6 inch indo's bars remain that stable most ofthe time, I would NOT sell it.
if an indo is stable in your tank, u keep it. ( just my opnion) stable indo is hard to come by.

I don't know if he will remain stable for most of the time, because I only own him for a day

When he is stress out, he will go black but his bar will always remain stable
(that's the good thing about this fish)

I have a few IT, and I doubt IT will ever get ban from exporting, so I'd better sell this guy before the price drop

;)

You never know....It could happen. Unless Indos start coming around more often then they are now. I wouldnt plan on the price dropping anytime soon. The bar has been set for the price. Dont plan on it going down.

a few months ago, I saw Big Als have baby IT tag on their tank for $16.88 each, but I missed out

Datnoid is seasonal, so I think its not the harvest time for Indo yet...

I have unconfirmed report about my lfs going to bring a few batches of baby Indo in the coming weeks

There must be thousand, if not million of Indo dat circulating north america, with so much fish in the country, I doubt the price will go any higher and as more baby coming in, (in the near future) the price will drop for sure

There were thousands, maybe even 100s of thousands in the country. But I would reckon that at least 90% of them (probably more like 99%) never made it past 3". Even here on MFK, where members are typically your better than average aquarists, there are a lot of members who have lost their ITs. Now imagine how many starved to death because they were fed nothing but flake food by ignorant aquarists figuring that it will start eating whatever's available when it gets hungry enough.

If your local store is getting them that cheap thats great but like you said it was awhile back. Im pretty sure the season is now for IT's and the IT's that people are bring in now cost more so that makes your price go up or this could mean they are getting harder to get. Everyone likes money so why not jack up the price....Theres a demand for dats. Once everyone starts to do it then that sets the market. People will pay for them if they really want them. Plus this will help weed out all the people that want to buy them just for a trend. Leaves more for us dat addicts :D The thing about there must be thousands if not millions of Indos in North America....just think at one point people probably said that about ST's and now look at how many are in the US and look at the price of them now. Between the US and Canada i bet theres no more than 2000 ST's around and even that number may be way to high. For all we know IT's could be on there way out just like the ST's. We wont know until they are just not brought into our part of the world:( then its to late. I really wished i'd got into dats 5years back because man i would have such a sick collection of ST's it would be insane but no like a dumb *** i spent my $$$ on boobs and partying:ROFL: Suck it all in...It does make sense. Countries are banning fish or whatever else they decide to ban every other week it seems. Would you rather buy a fish and be glad you have it or you dont buy it and find out you can't get the fish you want later ever again.

As far as I know all dats are wild caught (post a link to a dat breeding facility to prove me wrong)....also ....Water pollution is what drove STs extinct not hobbyists. ....

Water pollution? LOL... You can't solely say thats the only cause.. The natives ate ST's... hobbyists love raising ST's... it all adds up !!! :nilly:
