I'm not really a flowerhorn fan either If they were a proven pair then maybe but I would go for more fish as apossed to less and bigger. You have time to grow the others out.

I don't like flowerhorns, either.. This poll has less to do with personal opinion and more to do with the value of the fish on question..


I traded Group #1 for Group #2.. and the guy who got Group #1 thinks he didn't get a good deal? He thinks I 'took advantage' of him because his Herostilapia Multispinosa are SO RARE! (I ID'ed them for him in the first place, LOL.)

If you like flowerhorns, it is a better deal for him. If you look at it objectively for actual market value, I'd say he still got the better deal.

at least here for a big Female FH which is show quality as you state, then one such female itself should cover for the green severums and the tho. meeki, haven't yet seen any multispinosa here and thus don't know about them

He got an awesome deal.... financially...

Multispinosa are almost as common as Convicts anymore in my opinion...

I just pretty much gave away a breeding pair of regs and 3 orange form juves...

He got the better end of that and should pay you about 100.00 minimum in my opinion...

And I too am a Mostly a purist.. but still we all know we could get four times what you did of the same fish you got for the fish you traded.... Just my opinion

Multispinosa are around 10.00 per adult pair...

FM= 0.99 - 1.99

FH good qulaity.... Not here...

Escondido.. If you can find them are still sold between 15.00-30.00 here...

Cyano= 4.99 here...

I saw the poll from the main page so I didn't get to see your post. I would have picked the FHs and texas anyway, but show quality proven makes them so much better.

the first one. FH would get more than the rest put together where i am. the rest you can pick up for under £20 all in. even low grade FH make in excess of £10 for a 3" ish. so 10" way more.
i just got 2x 3" FM's for £5 and Multipinosa were about £3 a piece or 2 for £5 in the same shop. the severums will greatly depend on the type. rotkeil (sp?) can hit about the £10-£20 mark for a juvie of 3" ish. but reg gold/green about £3-£5.
