Ok, i came home from my friends today, and what do i see.
Half my catfish population DEAD

When i came home the dear were as follows

1-Striped Raphael Catfish
1-Walking Catfish
1-Upside Down Catfish
1-Pin Pictus Catfish

I couldnt figure out whats wrong so i did a partial water change gravel vacced the bottom. cleaned the filter and went on my way,

a few hours later i come home and i find dead the following

1-Spotted raphael Catfish
1-blue channel Catfish
1- Albino Channel Catfish

So ive read around and cant figure out the problem,
Now i look in my tank and see,

1-Asian Red Tailed Catfish
and
1-Albino Walking Catfish

are breathing VERY heavily and swimming oddly,
those are my LAST two alive Catfish,
What the hells wrong!?!?

Note-NO other fish is effected, between the 2 tanks (which share the same water/pump/heat ect)

Fresh Water Puffers
Hujeta Gar
Clown Loaches
Ghost Knife

none are dead, or show any ill effects.

whats killing my Monster Catfish!?

What are you feeding?
And keep doing more w/c

All the parameters are normal..
The Temperature is 79.6 according to the digital thermometer

I feed a Variety

Including

Frozen Brine Shrimp
Frozen Blood Worms
Sinking Shrimp Pellets
Quarintined/Gut loaded Guppies
Tropical Flakes
Carnivore Sinking Pellets
And
Hikari Floating Carnivore Diet

Do you feed your other fish the same exact things?

Can you add more detail to the situation? It will help greatly. How long were you away each time, and has anything changed? Also, was there anything different with the dead fish? Were they bloated in the belly? Any white or gray film growing on them? Any red patches or streaks? Ragged fins? Odd patches or coloration?

In the event of mystery die offs, it is a good idea to do an autopsy on several of the fish. You should cut open the gills from the bottom and inspect for gill flukes or damage. You should also inspect the gut cavity for internal parasites. Additionally, you should inspect the muscle tissue for internal parasites also.
hope this helps.

all fish eat the same food. i feed twice a day. Flakes/pellets in the morning
shrimp or blood rooms at night,

All the dead fish showed no discoloration and no bloating,
the only thing odd was they all died with open mouth (im not sure if fish always die like this..)

I have one fish left (of the dead ones) the rest have been disposed of,
i will open him up and see what i can find,

ill tell you what i find!

Okeedokee. Tell us when you know.

Cut up Channel cat sitting infront of me...

Stomach Contents are what look to be 1 partialy digested guppie
and some flake/pellet food.

Tissue looked healthy..
Muscle is nice and "Firm" No discoloration,
there was no bloating

Two Odd findings were
-Mouth Completed Opened on All dead fish

and i just noticed this channel catfishes eyes are clouded...
