Do you feed your other fish the same exact things?
even if he didn't it would have no effect on the deaths, unless the food had a free swimming parasite .or a bacterial decease that infected both tanks

Ammonia-0 ppm

Nitrate-15 PPM

Nitrite-0PPM

PH-7.5

Temp-79.5

I havent had ANY problems before,
as i change 1 gallon of water Each day, (while gravel vacuming all uneated food/fish poop)
And 25-30% change each weekend,
I age my water in a 100gallon Barrel beside my tank for days.

you did say you feed Flakes/pellets in the morning
shrimp or blood rooms at night,
i am sure you ment blood worms ..are they live frozen or freeze dried?

i am already thiinking it's bacterial from your autopsy

sorry about the typo, yes i meant blood worms,
and i feed Frozen blood worms,
if i was you i would do a dose of ( EM = Erythromycin) ...Mycin or E Mycin for fish

Will have to wait untill morning (8.5 hrs) untill the only petstore here opens.. and i can buy some,
i hope the rest dont die, but i still cant believe its ONLY been the catfish dying :|

Hey, yes all had their mouths open,
only 2 had cloudy eyes. but i think thats because i looked them a while after they died,

and if they didnt have oxygen then why arent the other fish (non catfish) dead.. :S

How old is your ammnoia test kit?
Is the reagent bottle nearly empty?
Is your test a single double or tripple reagent?
Did the correct ammount of time elapse before reading?
Sorry for the 20 questions Ryan but ammonia reagents will oxidise rendering them a useful as tits on a bull. MIght pay to get a freshy and double check. Do you have a fish buudy nearby....or does your lfs test water.

If it is a bacterial infection in a lot of cases you can smell the infection
( water smells like it has a mild case of rotting dead fish ). If this is the case maybe a mild salt solution of 1 tea spoon per 10 litres will help in the meantime until you can accuratley diagnose and treat. Maybe get some feedback from other members on this idea as it is only my opinion.
