The extension cord fire hazard?
The ceiling fan is fairly ghetto for sure, none of the tank wiring is on that cord at least. I have gfci circuits for all of my tanks. Saved my bacon when we had that earthquake a while back
The extension cord fire hazard?
The tank does not appear to be properly supported.
I wasn't commenting on the weight or sturdyness of the stand, the bottom edge of the tank did not appear to be resting on the edges of the stand was what I was getting at.The stand is heavier than the tank, mostly 2x6 but I do appreciate the concern.

Yeah and after viewing more photos from other angles I suspected that that was the case.Everything looks good and I can't come up with anything else other than the extension cord hook up perhaps.Gotcha, what we did is build up a border around the tank to hide the bottom edge. It does make the tank kind of look like it is sitting in the middle unsupported a bit I guess
I think I've got it after studying the photos a little more.....
Something else caught my eye but okay.....Yeah, fluke nailed it right off the bat, probably why my post was a bit odd![]()
