i saw this teugelsi at the wknd and i was just in awe of it!
if only i had the £300 they wanted for it! so active for its sheer size aswell....a stunner!

ATM I keep Delhezi, Senegal, Palmas Polli, Weeksii and Ornate.

Of those I like the Delhezi best, but I want an Endli very bad! All species are beautiful in their own way...

My reasons for liking Delhezi best: This was my first Bichir species to own, they eat the pellets from the top, and they have very nice color pattern.

I like endli cause they are big and naughty because they always do bad stuff suck as kill a few tankmates and destroy stuff making them a real monster fish unlike those little malawi cichlids which some people conider to be monster.

hmmm,.. it makes me wonder why so many people like endli a lot.., I guess the ornate is one of a distinct character among bichirs, mine one looks very selfish;the longfinned and senegal are easier to feed..

Polypterus bichir bichir are actually not rare as they are now available from time to time. It's the polypterus mokelembembe is the one that's actually rare even finding them in the wild is hard. Although they were avilable before, they are not avilable from time to time. Even the Japanese have a hard time looking for them. Reason why? It's beacause of their small size and nocturnal secretve activity.
