To be honest with you, I don't know what type of pike i have any more. Lugubris pikes look so similar as babies...especially 'sp. venezuela', strigata, marmorata, and lenticulata. Unless you special ordered in your pike, or some how got super lucky, chances are you don't have what I have. I had to special order mine from Rapps....which kinda has me a little bitter but oh well. They were sold to me as Crenicichla marmorata.....but i later found out that the last batch of marmorata that Rapps got were actually strigata. Don't get me wrong, strigatas are awesome pikes, and are possibly as rare if not rarer than marmoratas, but not exactly the pike i wanted...lol. Nothing is more annoying than payin for a fish and gettin a totally different one. Since 'sp. venezuela' is the most highly imported and seen Lugubris pike, chances are you have that. But get some pictures up of your babies!! I would love to see them, and possibly ID them. I'll let you know now though, it bugs the heck outa me trying to ID these 4 species cuz they all look so similar as juvs. Highly annoying. Once they hit 5" or so and start gettin into their subadult colors though, things get a bit easier. Hopefully I at least have either marmorata or strigata....lol..cuz if I have 'sp. venezuela' I am gonna be PISSED!! 'Specially after how much i paid for them....lol...you can get 'sp. venezuela' for $9.00 around here....lol.
I would definately go for it!! Submit the idea to a mod/admin...I'll back yaz up!
