For some on who has confessed to owning illegal fish you take a very legal view on other doing so, hypocritical you might say.
First of all...Stop taking things out of context like the "boy troll" likes to do...
The Goby I maintained was BEFORE the stricter regulations on transport and possession. When I say it was a NO NO I'm actually stating that at that time it was ethically questionable to transport them. in 1991 it was not Illegal, no permit was required and we where freaking out in this watershed. At this time I do have permits to transport and possess live ones as they are required. People like me have to follow State and Federal laws in regards to collection and possession or our research is ethically comprimised. Read the whole stinking thread before quoting me as owning or possessing Illegal fish..Which is something I'm personally very much not in favor of.
Get facts straight and understand the context of things before spouting them off ignorantly...otherwise you wind up like the "boy Troll" who follows me around like some type of stalker and wastes bandwidth with his personal problems..
The issue of Round and Tubenose goby is also very much a different story than the topic of this thread. There is a big difference between removing an Invasive species from infected habitat (and not moving it outside of the watershed might I add) compared to Importing and possessing Snakeheads and Asian Aros or violating the Lacey act through Illegal interstate transport of fish....DUH....
