I have my silver aro in a 12 gallon nano cube growout. He is about 4"

When will it be okay to put him with other fish of his size?

Depends on what the other fish are. He is still a little small and tankmates should be carefully selected.

Seems so many people are laking in the knowledge of what the contributing factors are to stunting a fishes growth.

Now depending on what you wan't to mix it with as long as there less aggressive fish then move him now

the fish has plenty of room in the 12 gallon right now. If it grows another inch I will obviously move it to a larger tank. The tank is about 12 inches wide and the fish is 4. I'm not leaving it in there forever people. probably another week or so.

The question was when will it be safe with other fish.

It depends on what the other fish are.

I have raised two silvers from very tiny size with tetras and eartheaters and rainbows. The current one gets along just fine with a Molly who is about his same size and hangs out up top all the time. But I wouldn't put it in with any kind of assertive/aggressive fish at that size.

That's what I'm thinking. I may let it get an inch or so on whatever fish I'm putting it in with.
