my Arow is 7 ... 10 year old arow is rare ...only because they jump out etc... did he jump and hit the top... any scales missing.... can we see some pics...so far that is the oldest Arow on MFK.. i hope he will be alright... i send my best wishes...

i am very sorry for your loss and i dont mean to bring up the whole tank size thing but my uncle kept an arowana in a 10x5 aquarium and it lives still now is around 14 years old and near 4 feet in lenght i mean maybe the small aquarium stunted his growth yet maybe something internal continued growing? like the swim bladder i dont know just crossing your experience with mine.
i am sorry for your loss... 10 years may be long to have an arow... since so many do not make it that long in aquaria setting.. nice to hear about all the ones that do... but this is a valuable lesson to learn.. who would think this is what caused his demise... i am sorry but yes the main thing is his suffering is over.. and please don't even question yourself about a good life.. 10 years he had a good life.. better then alot of them..
