TBH, the title of this thread almost made me cry... But I won't judge, i'm becoming less and less sensitive to this kind of thing.

hmmm i didnt watch the video before, but now that i have..... it seems the fish are quite healthy and not stressed at all... and he said he kept them for a year? seems pretty stable to me .... cuz normal sw fish would just die in fw very quick, im guessin theres *something* in his water chemistry thats working out for the fish, cuz i strongly doubt that he could manage to get away with like 20 sw fish by just throwin em in fw and they just happen to stay alive(but deteriorating? ) ..... there must be something thats working out... unless hes just buying seafood and droppin em into fw for the video, and he constantly replaces seafood into his tank... dunno... either way, hope the fish arent suffering

even though there is a product out there to let you be able to do this, how can we know that this isnt a long term harmful thing? i mean being able to have saltwater fish and freshwater fish in the same tank only by adding some liquid you dont really know what is in it? come on now that cant be good. it says "by adding electrolyte to the water", basically tells me i can add a $hit load of gatorade to my tank and then be able to get a polypterus for my marine tank. i still dont agree with this being perfectly fine for the fish's health. someone get a tank up use this stuff, have two community fish(one from FW and one from SW) that have a life span of 15+ years and update a post in here with pictures and video of these fish thriving in 13-15 years. then i will go and get this product so i can have the tank of my dreams :)

this is extremly bad for the saltwater fish as their kidneys cannot work properly in low salinity levels. i would look into it as their circulitory systems transport oxygen differently in certain salinity levels. the change in salinity will in turn change the electrolytes in the water as well.

you are slowly killing your fish with these conditions

im still VERY skeptical when it comes to the op's claim but that product to mix the fish looks interesting. I am skeptical of that too though. I dont know about mixing fw and sw. some of u say it can be done because there are fish that do it, but most of those fish dont do it permanently and when they do, its for a reason right? not a scientist so i cant say for sure. not flaming or judging but my opinion is that it shouldnt be done. anyway, if it works great, but if it doesnt, :banhim:
