Quarantine Tank
was fixing dinner when i heard this loud crash of rocks against my 180g. tank. i first thought that it was my ray shifting through the river rock as usual but it didnt stop and kept on going. i went to look and found my ray trying to eat the gar!!! the ray was feeling him out to see it it could fit in its mouth, luckily the ray figured it out before any permanent damage could be done...

fyi the gar is at least 12 in.

We've all had our close calls. My gold sev was almost Motoro lunch a few times. Luckily, both are still here.

BTW, I like that Motoro. Got any more pics?

interesting thing was that the ray humped or sampled the gar for about 5 minutes, the ray was pretty rough with him thou, slamming him into the rocks trying to break him up into little pieces to eat...

thought about stopping it but thought that it would be better for the ray to learn he couldnt eat him...(esp. since i knew the ray couldnt fit the 12 in. gar in his mouth)

HAHA...That's a familiar sight...My leos would do that all of the time. It's even funnier when the 12" leos would pounce on the 12" redtailed gouramis, LOL.

makes me wonder how my frt would do if i threw him in there???
