Should I put him out of his misery?


As indicated on some of my prev posts... my sen has a spine curvature. Now this is his state. He was not able to eat for almost 2 weeks now. Before, he still has the strength and interest to eat, but just wasn't able to 'swallow'. Now he's appetite is completely gone. He would just 'float' around, and rest on wherever the current will take him... sad sad sad...

I know if this is a tumor that most likely he doesn't have a chance... I was kinda hoping that he would get better... =(

Mine had the same thing and i just took a really sharp knife to the back of the head and cut straight down and if you dont think u could cut fast take a hammer and knock the back of the knife downwards

i have read some threads and they were talking about clove oil to anaesthesize, then vodka to euthanize... Problem is i might not have a time to go look for it til probably after thanksgiving. and he has to suffer still for that long

freezing is also another option you can do, just make sure to have a bag of ice cold/slushy water to place the fish in and place the bag back in the freezer. clove oil and vodka is another. the clove oil puts the fish to sleep and the vodka finishes them.

just take him out of the tank and put him in a bucket with no water and then just wait that what i had to do with my 11" fire eel...
